Warrior Arts Studio (WAS) is a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to honoring the stories and experiences of our military veterans. By bringing artists and veterans into a common space, we foster an environment of community support, positive learning, artistic collaboration, and honest storytelling. We believe that everyone has a story to tell.
The arts provide a perfect medium for that story.
The Warrior Arts Studio offers programming in all artistic modalities including but not limited to the visual arts, theater, music, and written word… as well as traditional artisan crafts such as woodworking and ceramics.
We Are:
- A place where vets can talk to other vets.
- A venue for telling your story, however you want to tell it.
- A community center where vets and artists can work together.
- Open to all forms of storytelling, including poetry, theater, sculpture, painting, novels, performance, and more.
- Vets of all ages, from Vietnam to OEF/OIF and beyond.
- Here to increase public awareness.
We are not:
- A therapy group or painting classes.
- Politically-oriented or religiously-affiliated.
